Privacy policy
This page explains what davidmelnichuk.com collects, why, and who else handles it. I'm David Melnichuk and I run this site. For questions or requests, email info@davidmelnichuk.com.
What I collect
- When you book a consult: your name, email and phone number; your business name, website (optional), industry, number of employees and revenue range; a description of what you want to improve; what you want from the call; and your budget range and timeline.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email and message.
- Payments: payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and I never see or store your card number. I keep the payment status and a Stripe reference so I can confirm your booking.
- Scheduling: you choose a time through Cal.com, which receives your name and email to create the booking.
- Where you came from: if you arrive through a link (for example from LinkedIn, Facebook or a shared link), I record that source and which case study you were reading, and attach it to your consult request so I know which posts are working.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, this site and its hosting provider receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page you came from, and keep logs and aggregate traffic statistics.
- Site traffic: I keep daily page-view totals by site address, public page, source and UTM campaign labels, including custom UTM tags. These private reports do not store your IP address, a visitor identifier, full referring address or advertising click identifier. This counter does not use cookies and honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Campaign labels containing email addresses or full website addresses are excluded. Labels can carry forward while you navigate the site.
How I use it
I use your information to prepare for and run your consult, take payment, reply to your messages, send booking and notification emails, understand which posts and ads bring in visitors, and keep the site secure and working. I don't sell your personal information.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of service providers, and each processes information only to provide its service, under its own privacy policy:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Cal.com, for scheduling.
- Lovable and Supabase, which host this website and store the database.
- Lovable's email service, which sends booking and notification emails from this domain.
- Meta, for the advertising pixel described below.
I may also share information if the law requires it.
Meta Pixel, cookies and your browser
This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure which posts and ads lead to bookings and to help show my content to people who may be interested. The Pixel sets a cookie and tells Meta when you view a page or case study, complete the consult form, or complete a payment (including the $99 amount). Meta also receives technical details such as your IP address, browser and the address of the page. I do not send your form answers, name, email or phone number to Meta through the Pixel. Meta uses this data under its own privacy policy.
Your browser also keeps a few items on your device: your in-progress consult answers (including the name, email and phone number if you entered them) so you can pick up where you left off, and the source and case study you came from. These stay in your browser until you clear your site data.
To limit tracking, you can block cookies or use a tracker blocker in your browser, or change your ad settings in your Facebook account.
How long I keep it
I keep consult requests and messages for as long as I need them to run the service and keep business and tax records, then I delete them. You can ask me to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
Email info@davidmelnichuk.com to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you. I may need to confirm it's you first. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional rights, and I'll respond to valid requests as the law requires.
Security
Access to submitted answers is limited to me and the service providers above. No system is perfectly secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is for business owners and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
